  5.      What is DaveWare?
  6.  
  7.      DaveWare is any little program that I happen to write because it's easier
  8.      to spend 14 hours writing it than it is to spend 4 hours on the phone
  9.      calling BBS's to see if there's one around that will do what I want to
  10.      do.

  12.      Below you'll find a list of the four utilities that I have done as of
  13.      late and a couple that are on the list to get done when I have the
  14.      time.  If you see something there you'd like, or you have an interesting
  15.      idea for a useful utility (anything other than another Xtree clone) then
  16.      write me a note on a post card or give me a call at 408-363-1441.

  21.      PHBK is a little address book program that is compatible with the data
  22.      files created by PC-Magazine's CARDFILE program.  You can store 999
  23.      records instead of 256 and it's not a TSR, so it doesn't eat up valuable
  24.      memory.

  28.      CHKPATH is a little utility to check along your PATH for the presence
  29.      of a file, or group of files.

  33.      EVAL is a utility that evaluates given mathematical expressions and
  34.      returns the answer.  Example:  EVAL 2+3*(4+7)/2  would give an answer
  35.      of 18.5 by following the rule My Dear Aunt Sally.

  39.      3x5 Card Maker is a little program that allows a user to design text
  40.      46 charactors across by 14 lines down, and then prints it out on a
  41.      form-fed 3x5 card on you Epson or compatible printer.

  43.      What's in the works?

  46.      My current project is a journal program that let's a user type their most
  47.      secret thoughts and then encrypt them from prying eyes.  Included will
  48.      be a calender and a reminder utility to remind you of important dates.
  49.      Also included will be a privacy switch that pops over a mini-text editor
  50.      with a default file for you to work on in case someone walks in and
  51.      interrupts you unexpectedly.
  52.      Also in the works is a desktop program.  I will include PHBK, a calender,
  53.      a calculator, an appointment book, an editor, and a file organiser.  I
  54.      know that everyone and their grandmother has written one, but I can't
  55.      find anything that I like and that has all of those features without
  56.      it either being a TSR, expensive, or unmanagable.
